We built the TranscribeMe app for Android and iPhone with our customers’ specific needs in mind. The app makes it easy to record and convert audio into perfectly transcribed text anywhere, and allows you to complete the entire ordering process in-app as well.
While it stores your audio recordings that have been sent in to be transcribed, we’ve also made it possible to download your original recordings from the TranscribeMe app to make another backup on your computer.
Read on to find out how you can transfer your audio from the app, for both Android and iPhone.
1. Plug your iPhone into your computer and wait for iTunes to launch.
2. When iTunes is open, select the iPhone icon, then Apps.
3. Scroll until you find the File Sharing section, then click on TranscribeMe.
4. Audio files recorded to the TranscribeMe app have a .caf extension. Click on the name of the file you would like to save, then Save To.
7. Select where you would like to save your file on your computer and Save.
8. Head to where you saved your file. Right click to select Open With and choose Quicktime to open your audio.
